    Hi guys,

I have been hearing this question from a lot of newbie freelancers, “How should I charge my services as a freelancer?”

Would love to hear your experience and how you price your services as a freelancer. 👇

Hi @Tripod.Guy I am content writer by profession. I started freelancing last year, and to be honest, the journey has been great until now.

Answering to your question, there is no defined way of charging your services. But, the most preferred way to charge as a freelance content writer is PPW (Paise per word). Since, the client demands a limited amount of words in an project. Like say..500 words article or 1000 words article. So, in these scenarios, per word pricing fits the best and the most comfortable way of charging your services.

I started with 30ppw as a newbie because I lacked experience and clients were not willing to provide much. So, I worked for 30-50ppw for few months. But once my present clients started admiring my potential, I started raising the bar and my clients were happy enough to pay me well.

I believe, as a newbie freelancer one should not directly price his/her services very high. Focus on building your network and attracting clients in your initial stages. After that, with some experience in hand, you can definitely charge your worth.

      👏👏Rightly said @areeba.k

We can also charge hourly rates. But that seems quite confusing and in India most of the clients don’t prefer to pay freelancers by hourly rates. They either pay per project or per word ( as a writer).

        Hi guys,

I am a freelance graphic designer and I prefer pricing my services per project basis.

        Like for:

        Logo designing: Rs.1000-5000

        Business cards: Rs.400-1500

        Website Designing: Rs.10,000

        Instagram Posts: Rs.400-1500

        And so on…
